Goals of Progressivism

My goal is to promote moral improvement. I was president of the Daughters of Temperance and believe that drinking liquor is sinful. I later founded the Women's State Temperance Society and petitioned to pass a law that limits the selling of alcohol. I also supported the Women's Christian Temperance Union (WCTU). Drinking compromised peoples character and is morally wrong. You see this especially in the case of Abby Mcfarland, her abusive ex husband killed her fiancé when he was drunk and got away with it in court pleading temporary insanity. This insanity should be no more.
