Who/What?- She was a famous women’s rights activist. She traveled, campaigned, and lectured throughout the U.S. on women’s suffrage. She blamed the lack of women’s rights for abortion and prostitution, saying that women felt they had no other choice but to turn to abortion or go on the streets.

When?-Born in 1820 but joined the women’s rights movement in 1852.

Where?- Born in Massachusetts but lectured all over America.

Why Important?-  She petitioned and got signatures for the right for married women to own property.
